According to the Nanjing federation of trade unions, Nanjing human resources and social security bureau, the communist youth league Nanjing municipal committee jointly issued the 2010 Nanjing workers occupation (industry) skills competition notice requirements, Nanjing quality supervision bureau undertook the special equipment (pressure class) welder competition. The competition attracted 438 licensed welders from 63 pressure manufacturing, installation and maintenance units in Nanjing. After drilling of vocational skill and primary selecting, each participating unit selected and recommended 122 contestants to participate in the city-level competition.
